Katlyn is a security professional who's found her love of writing through her security blog, Dark Roast Security. While she publishes a lot of cybersecurity content and technical articles, she loves writing about her experiences in corporate and hopes that sharing her tips can help others improve their work/life balance, increase productivity, and stay focused at work.

Katlyn currently works full-time as a cybersecurity professional and blogs in her free time. She's an advocate for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and prioritizes "me time" outside of work and side hustles by exercising regularly, getting outside when the weather is nice, and reading first thing each morning and last thing before bed.

As the name of the security blog would suggest, she's a huge coffee fan. She loves hitting up local coffee shops where she'll spend hours in her own world, listening to her Work From Home playlist, and sipping an iced mocha.

In addition to being a coffee lover, Katlyn is also a die-hard Crime Junkie Podcast fan and listens to some other Audiochuck productions like Counter Clock and The Deck Podcast. At night, she loves curling up on the couch to watch one of her many favorite shows, like Grey's Anatomy, The Resident, or A Million Little Things.
